NJR Partnership has coded over the past few years a most remarkable piece of software for the utilities industry for a start-up company called Utilities Manager Limited.  The concept is simple – Utilities Manager collect daily water, gas or electric consumption  data from remote meters using SMS messages and or internet connections to present in a browser interface very easy to understand data and reports.

One client of UM, an NHS Health Trust had a legionnaires alert in a small cottage hospital.  Naturally, some high ranking inspector felt obliged to travel North for the day to manage the situation.  He asked for data about water flow and flushing out tanks and was given very detailed graphics and flow data about the measures that had been taken to correct the problem.

What our client was able to demonstrate exceeded expectations so much that the comment was made ” How does a tiny hospital in the middle of nowhere have such detailed information?”  I’m informed it had a few expletives included.
